SODAX is a system for you to swap, earn, and borrow across different crypto networks (also searched as "cross-chain"), without getting stuck in technical details. Instead of worrying about bridges, gas fees on different networks, or complex settings, you simply choose the asset you have and the outcome you want. SODAX handles the cross-network execution and coordination in the middle.
You can think of SODAX as your travel adapter, but rather than letting you plug a device into a wall socket anywhere in the world, SODAX lets you use your assets across networks, on any supported network without worrying about how they connect.
Why does SODAX exist?
Crypto is split into many different networks or "chains". Usually, moving money cross-network (cross-chain swaps) is difficult, requiring multiple wallets, different gas tokens, and complicated steps. SODAX acts as an execution/coordination system. We believe you shouldn't have to be an infrastructure expert to use your money. You should just be able to say, "I have this token here, and I want that token there," and let the system swap across networks to make it happen.
Invisible Complexity: While the process involves technically complex steps (like finding the best route and moving data between networks) SODAX doesn’t burden this on you. Your experience is focused on the outcome, not the mechanics.
What to Expect from SODAX
SODAX is built for you to be able to confidently navigate decentralized finance (DeFi), without needing to be a technical expert. For us to achieve this though, there are still some limitations of cross-network technology that you should be aware of in order to make the most of SODAX:
Speed: Because SODAX coordinates across different networks, transactions are asynchronous (they don't happen instantly). Speed depends on the specific networks you are using. We prioritize getting the transaction done safely over doing it instantly.
Safety and Recovery: Sometimes, network conditions change while a transaction is in progress. SODAX is designed to handle these moments. If a transaction cannot complete exactly as planned, the system includes recovery paths so your funds don't get stuck.
Transparency: We believe in being honest about constraints. We will always show you clear status updates so you know exactly where your assets are during the cross-network swap process.
What can you do on SODAX?
Swap: Exchange assets between different networks (e.g. cross-chain swaps from Ethereum to Solana).
Migrate: Participate in the ICX to SODA (Governance token for SODAX) migration.
Stake: Stake your SODA for rewards.
Pool (Coming March 24): Supply assets to yield-generating liquidity pools.
Save (Coming Soon): Supply assets to the money market’s cross-network liquidity and generate yield.
Borrow (Coming Soon): Access cross-network liquidity on one network using collateral from another.
Earn (Coming Soon): Deposit assets into cross-network yield-generating accounts.
Rewards (Coming Soon): Earn additional rewards through your actions on SODAX.
