💡 Can’t connect your receiving wallet? No worries. Whether it’s a paper wallet, your app on another device, or a friend – you can swap and send to any wallet.

SODAX allows Swap users to ‘Swap and send’ assets at the same time. For example swapping Ethereum, so that the received Solana tokens arrive at a designated wallet (that you don’t need to connect to SODAX).

Always be sure to double check any receiving address entered, and ensure that where you are sending to another person, that you are sure you are in contact with the expected party. This will shield you from wallet poisoning attacks and scams, which we cover in more detail in our article on “Important security tips for new users”.

Step-by-Step Guide to ‘Swap and send’ on SODAX

  1. Open SODAX Swap.

    • Head to sodax.com and click ‘Launch Apps’ in the top-right.

    • Ensure that ‘Swap’ is selected on the left-hand menu.

  2. Connect your wallet(s) for networks you want to swap between.

    • For a detailed guide on how to connect wallets, head to our article covering “How do I connect to SODAX?”

  3. Select the asset you want to swap from.

    • The top selection on the SODAX Swap page is for the asset you intend to swap from.

    • To change this selection, click on the down chevron next to the asset. This will open the token list.

    • You can either click on the token you wish to swap from within this list, search by token name in the search bar, or filter by network by clicking on the icon to the right of the search bar.

  4. Select the asset you want to swap to.

    • The second selection on the SODAX Swap page is for the asset you intend to swap to.

    • To change this selection, click on the down chevron next to the asset. This will open the token list.

    • You can either click on the token you wish to swap to within this list, search by token name in the search bar, or filter by network by clicking on the icon to the right of the search bar.

  5. Select Swap and send.

    • Beneath the asset you are swapping to, you will see a toggle for ‘Swap and send’. Toggle this on.

  6. Enter the destination address.

    • Once toggled on, an entry field will appear below allowing you to add a destination address. This will be where the assets are swapped and sent to.

    • Enter the destination address in this field, being sure to double-check that it is correct and that it is an address on the correct network (you will receive additional warnings if it is incorrectly formatted).

  7. Enter the amount of your asset you wish to swap.

    • This amount should be entered next to the asset you have chosen to swap from.

    • Note. Your current balance will be shown beneath the asset chosen, and you can click ‘Max’ there to swap all of your balance.

  8. Review your swap.

    • Click ‘Review’ to see the relevant fees and details for your chosen swap.

  9. Initiate your Swap.

    • Once you have reviewed your swap, click the Swap button in the modal (‘Swap to asset on network’)

  10. Confirm the transaction.

    • You will now be redirected to your wallet application, authorize the transaction and the SODAX will start solving your intent-based Swap.

  11. Watch your transaction complete.

    • If you stay on the swap modal you can watch the progress as your assets move across networks. You can also watch these transactions in real time on SODAX Scan.

  12. You have now completed your Swap!

⚠️ You may notice when inspecting your transactions (via transaction ID), that your funds have been sent to an address you did not enter/connect. This is not necessarily cause for alarm and is likely to be a SODAX contract address. If you are concerned about your transaction, please open a support ticket with the button in the bottom right.
