What is SODAX Swap?

Find out what you can do with the SODAX Swap app.

SODAX Swap is your way to move and exchange your assets between different networks in a single, simple flow. Whether you have Ethereum on one network and want Solana on another, SODAX Swap handles the difficult coordination in the background so you can focus on the outcome.

πŸ”’ SODAX is non-custodial. This means you always retain ownership of your funds throughout the entire swap process; SODAX never "takes" your money, it only executes the outcome you requested.

In the traditional crypto world, moving money cross-network (often searched for as cross-chain swaps) usually requires you to use multiple bridges, manage different gas tokens for every network, and complete several manual steps. SODAX Swap removes this technical tax.

How it Works: Behind the Scenes

When you use SODAX Swap, you aren't just "sending" a token through a wire; you are creating an Intent. This is a request for a specific result (e.g., "I want this much USDC on Solana").

The system uses intent-based execution coordination to make this happen:

  • The Solver: Instead of making you wait for a slow bridge, a specialized component called a Solver fronts the capital for you on your destination network.

  • Coordinated Liquidity: SODAX looks across many different markets and its own reserves to find the best path for your trade.

  • Native Assets: We prioritize delivering native assets. The "real" versions of tokens that you can actually use immediately for other apps or gas fees, rather than complex wrapped tokens that are often hard to trade.

What to Expect

Because SODAX coordinates actions across independent networks, the experience is slightly different from a standard swap on a single network:

  • Asynchronous Speed: Transactions are not instant because they have to wait for different networks to confirm the data. The speed depends on the networks you are using (for example, Solana is generally faster than Ethereum).

  • Safety First: SODAX is designed to be recoverable. If network conditions change or a price shifts suddenly during your swap, the system is built to either complete the trade safely or guide you through a recovery path to return your funds.

  • Full Transparency: You will always see a clear status update so you know exactly where your assets are during the process.

Key Features

Swap and Send: You can exchange an asset and have it delivered directly to a friend's wallet or a different device without needing to connect that second wallet to SODAX.

Unified Pricing: By drawing from multiple liquidity sources, SODAX aims to give you predictable results even when moving between very different types of networks.
