⏱️ Where are my assets? Sometimes transactions do fail en route, but we ensure safe recovery in such cases and aim to return funds within 5 minutes.
Cross-chain actions can sometimes be interrupted by connection issues, price changes, or network congestion. When this happens, SODAX is built to either cancel the transaction safely or recover your funds automatically.
Here is a guide to the specific messages you might see and what they mean for your assets.
What does my error message mean?
The below are error messages you may see on SODAX Swap when your transaction has failed.
"Transaction failed at source"
Your transaction couldn’t be broadcast or was rejected, your balance is unchanged.
What happened: The swap didn't start. This usually happens because of a momentary network issue or if you declined the transaction in your wallet. What to do: You don't need to do anything. Your funds never left your wallet. You can simply try the swap again.
"Transaction timed out"
Your transaction couldn't be broadcast within the allowed time.
What happened: The network was likely too busy or "congested" to process your request quickly enough. To protect you from getting a bad price due to delays, the system cancelled the request. What to do: Check your connection and try again. Your funds remain safe in your wallet.
"Order couldn't be created"
Your order seems to be misformatted, please check balances and supported networks before trying again.
What happened: The system couldn't set up the trade because some details didn't match up. This is often because you might be trying to swap more than you have available, or the specific trading pair isn't supported right now. What to do: Double-check that you have enough funds (including a small amount for gas fees) and that you are on the correct network before retrying.
"Transaction failed at destination"
A transaction couldn’t be broadcast or was rejected, your balance will be retrieved within 5 minutes.
What happened: This message means the first part of your swap worked (your funds were sent), but the final delivery on the destination network couldn't be completed. This can happen due to sudden market shifts or Solver errors. What to do: Your funds are not lost. Because the swap couldn't be finished, the system has triggered an automatic recovery. Your original assets are being retrieved and will be returned to your wallet shortly (usually within 5 minutes).
